The Organization
(=Contact)
The European Biomass Day of the Regions was brought into being in October
1997 on the initiative of the Bavarian Ministry of Agriculture and the
European Biomass Industry Association (EUBIA). On the 10th European Biomass
Conference 1998 in Wuerzburg, Germany, members of parliaments from many
European countries demanded to make the European Biomass Day a permanent
institution. In 2005 European Biomass Days of the Regions gone into their
seventh round. In the beginning C.A.R.M.E.N.
has been in charge of the organisation of the Biomass Days. In the
year 2002 many organizations and institutions joined in organizing the
European Biomass Days of the Regions. C.A.R.M.E.N. e.V. is taking care
of the overall co-ordination. There are thirteen institutions in charge
of the organisation in Germany, one in (almost) each Federal Land. For
the whole of Europe the Association of European Biomass Association (AEBIOM)
or their members have joined the European Biomass Days of the Regions.
Members of the AEBIOM are biomass organisations from 25 European countries.

Companies use the European Biomass Days of the Regions
to draw the citizens' attention to their products, design engineering
offices to present projects that have been realised. Modern wood heating
systems in private households can be visited just as much as biogas plants
or tractors powered by vegetable oil. We should be very pleased if we
could welcome you as a participant!
